2 oz J.P. Trodden Black Label Bourbon
½ oz Domaine de Canton Ginger Liqueur
½ oz Honey Simple Syrup (equal pts honey & water dissolved over heat; can store for 5 days in sealed jar in the refrigerator)
¾ oz Lime Juice (fresh, or a high quality, not-from-concentrate juice)
Garnish: lime slice
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and give it a good shake for about 20 seconds (the honey syrup is quite viscous and needs a good shake to emulsify into the drink). Strain into an Old Fashioned glass with a large ice cube and garnish with a lime slice.
